ABOUT ME
Hi there! My name is Jay, and I'm currently a Business Analyst, ex-Deloitte consultant, and Pro-bono enthusiast based out of Los Angeles, CA.
I first dipped my toes in the nonprofit world working with 180 Degrees Consulting while at the University of Southern California, a pro-bono consulting organization focused on supporting local nonprofits and social causes through student consulting services. My projects included outlining an internship program and training structure for an LA-based health and policy organization, developing a growth strategy playbook for a local youth music education nonprofit, and constructing an actionable advocacy plan to influence low-income housing policy for a nonprofit providing permanent supportive housing to people experiencing homelessness.
When I transitioned into strategy consulting full-time with Deloitte, I wanted to continue using my skillsets to support those solving our most prominent grand challenges. I ended up serving as the Nonprofit Outreach Lead for Deloitte's pro-bono consulting initiative Step-Up, coordinating with local nonprofits in the Chicago area to provide Deloitte resources for skills-based-volunteering engagements. I also worked closely with United Way of Chicago to develop a supplemental workshop series for their United Neighborhoods Equity Fund grant program, as well as coordinating with the Deloitte Corporate Citizenship Office to sponsor an Impact Day of Service with Chicago-based social enterprise, Southside Blooms.
Now that I have left the world of corporate consulting, I hope to bring my past skillsets, network, and experience to support your individual organization's needs. Whether you're a budding nonprofit looking for extra ongoing support or an established social enterprise looking to reach new audiences, my passion is employing a collaborative approach to help you accomplish your vision.
